Countering a new form of promotion abuse

As you might know, I'm running a service for Steem called Smartsteem.com. And I've spend the last 2 hours investigating accounts due to an increased amount of abuse cases.

Let me explain

There are accounts being created, which automatically create a post and then send a transfer to a promotion-provider like Smartsteem or to a bid-bot.

Now, there are multiple of those and I've already gone ahead and removed the votes @smartsteem made on posts I'm aware of and implemented a security measure to make sure users like that aren't able to use Smartsteem.

Most of these accounts were created anonymously, so they had no connections to the real owners. But one account called @superbidder got a 1000 STEEM transfer from a user called @dreamryder007.

Coincidence?

I don't think so.

This supperbidder account has created around 212 accounts (https://hackmd.io/s/BJWZOlCQX) so far, and every account is then creating a post, which looks something like this:

My message to @dreamryder007

@dreamryder007, what you're doing is wrong.

And you know it. But you're doing it anyway.

Let me tell you one thing: you will lose!

I will downvote every post & comment you make until you stop creating puppet accounts.

Promotion services are for hard-working steemians who want promote their posts and not for auto-generated shitposts.

So it's your decision. Stop - or get flagged.
