Post harvest, the rice must necessarily be in the sun first before grinding, in order to more easily and undamaged. Then the water content in the grain needs to be minimized by the way in the sun for approximately 3-5 days, if the weather conditions are not significant for drying rice, or the drying is done 2-3 days if the weather is hot.
This morning I start activities today by drying rice in front of the house, I deliberately chose locations cement. Interest sunning on the cement floor is so fast paddy dry, hot sun directly on the cement floor will generate heat so that multiple rice drying on the cement floor will quickly drying up. It's easy, you simply flatten and for flipping upside down rice a while and wait for some time, usually one day is perfectly dry.
And the following are some examples of images when I was drying rice this morning.
Open bags of rice on top of the tarp that had been prepared on the cement.
Strong hold both ends of the sack bottom, then pull the sack so that the rice out evenly over the surface of the tarpaulin, aim to make it easier when the leveling of paddy.
I use tool is made of wood (form almost similar to hoe) to flatten rice above the surface of the tarp drying
After several hours averaged more rice or flipping upside down rice to the drying faster and remain vigilant of chickens or birds that come to eat or changing weather conditions.
Hopefully useful..
