Despite a continued downturn in the steem price and the steem activity during August I am delighted that A Dollar A Day actually managed to increase its donations compared with July - both in terms of total SBD (up 17%) and US$ equivalent (up 1%).
The total US$ equivalent of donations given out during August again topped $500 at $519.22.
This brings the total donated since the project started to well over US$ 3000.
August also saw an increased number of projects receiving the daily donations (15), an increasing number of steemians donating SBD or steem (34), an increasing number of people delegating to the @adollaraday account (12) and an increasing number of witnesses becoming Witness Supporters of the project (8).
We also set up a curation trail for @adollaraday which was admirably explained in a post by @cryptocurator.

During August A Dollar A Day distributed daily donations totalling 507 SBD (17% increase on July), which was the equivalent of US$ 519.22 (1% increase on July) at time of donation.

During August I am happy to report that A Dollar A Day @adollaraday has received several new delegations. I would particularly like to thank top 20 witness @drakos for his generous 1000SP delegation, as well as @cryptocariad, @d-vine, @darrenclaxton, @lillywilton, @scottcbusiness and @shanibeer who have all come on board as delegators this month.
I have also delegated half my steem power (5000 SP) to the account.
The account is being used to autovote once a day (currently at 100%) all the donation recipients to give them extra help.

HOW TO SUPPORT A DOLLAR A DAY
The A Dollar A Day project is based on the simple idea of people donating one Steem Backed Dollar (SBD) each day. Those SBDs are pooled to give to a bigger daily donation to a good cause around the world.
If you would like to support the work of A Dollar A Day there are five ways you can help :
1. Donate SBDs to @adollaraday
Just send SBDs for however many days you would like to support to @adollaraday.
2. Donate steem to @adollaraday
If you don't have SBDs send steem instead to @adollaraday.
3. Delegate to @adollaraday
A Dollar A Day uses SteemAuto to vote on the posts of all the projects currently supported to provide an extra regular income. The aim is to achieve sufficient steempower to provide a $1 upvote to each project each day.
