Mochima which means in the indigenous language: Terra de muchos aguas. It is a dream and an honor to its name, a destination where tourists and sportsmen fill their eyes with the most varied natural scenes, the deep blue of its crystalline waters and its coasts are of an impressive beauty ... every dawn and dusk shows us the greatness of its attractiveness, its beaches with fine sands of multiple colors depending on the area and the geology of its coasts, some red others of cream color and of an almost white color tear the look of its visitors, a calm sea of soft waves calm our minds that are full of expectations, not only visit their beaches on this extensive journey we also go to its shores at every stop we make, every night we fish our dinner and breakfast to continue on this trip full of emotions, on the fourth day some dolphins they accompany us for twenty-five minutes disappearing in their deep sea as blue as our sky, the best thing to explore in kayak is their silent advance that allows you to see r the fauna in a very special and unique way, I still remember the look of some dolphins with whom we swim with diving masks, it is a spectacular and wonderful experience.

With a temperature above 35 ° it is not easy to navigate in a small boat like a kayak in the inclement sun but our persistence paid off when we reached the white beach in the vortex of this Park where the beauty of the universe is born and the sun hides our course with each sunset, on this beach we camp for two days to rest a bit, snorkelling enjoy its exotic fauna and continue our journey through this piece of the Caribbean Sea full of islands and beautiful beaches with waters where you can see even a needle that falls in them, the sea birds fly over us, the fish swim near our small boats, the air hits our tanned skins of the scorching sun, already exhausted we go to the island of Arapo where we stayed two days sharing with its inhabitants a hospitality that you will not find anywhere in the world, in the nights I dedicate myself to look at the stars, being able to see a beautiful rain of them falling on the horizon, a show that I will never forget in my life, the cool nights relieve our fatigue filling us with strength and joy, we headed to Colorada beach to finish our kayak trip through the calm and pious waters of our beautiful Mochima national park was a farewell intense with a school of flying fish that accompanied us until a few meters from the beach, I thank the Sea, the Birds, the Fishes and marine mammals that accompanied us in this adventure full of emotions where the Sun, the Moon and the Stars shone in all directions as an inexhaustible source of energy many times extreme and others as sweet as the dreams of a humble snail that in its spiral keeps the secrets of such an immense sea.

Una visita en Kayak al parque nacional Mochima desde Cumaná; enclavado en el mar caribe el pueblo de Mochima inicialmente fue una aldea de pescadores y actualmente se ha convertido con el transcurrir de los años en un lugar turístico de hermosas playas con sus aguas cristalinas invitan a la aventura más hermosa que el ser humano puede experimentar, sus pobladores simpáticos y hospitalarios han recibido a millones de turistas de todo el Mundo es un paraíso natural donde se practican diferentes disciplinas deportivas destacando el buceo por sus arrecifes de una fauna espectacular llena de un colorido y una variedad de Peces, Corales, Esponjas, Crustáceos, Artrópodos, Anémonas, Reptiles, y Mamíferos marinos que jamás olvidaras.

Saliendo desde playa los chivos que es el inicio del parque nacional nuestra aventura nos remonta a tiempos pasados, en su aldea de pescadores que cuenta con solo cinco familias es nuestro campamento inicial, los pobladores nos despiden con mucha fe de llegar con tranquilidad hasta las playas más famosas del parque desde el inicio de esta travesía nuestras expectativas crecen con cada kilómetro avanzado, inicialmente es un paisaje alucinante de playas solitarias y vírgenes, poco a poco avanzamos en esta aventura extrema, el sol abrazador nos acompaña con nuestra armonía por la naturaleza y las ganas de completar nuestro viaje… Mochima que significa en el idioma indígena: Terra de muchas aguas. Es un sueño y un honor a su nombre un destino donde turistas y deportistas llenan su mirada con las más variadas escenas naturales, el profundo azul de sus aguas cristalinas y sus costas son de una impresionante belleza… cada amanecer y atardecer nos muestra la grandeza de su atractivo, sus playas con arenas finas de múltiples colores dependiendo de la zona y la geología de sus costas, algunas rojas otras de color crema y de un color casi blanco desgarran la mirada de sus visitantes, un mar tranquilo de suaves olas calman nuestras mentes que se llenan de expectativas, no solo visitamos sus playas en este extenso recorrido también nos adentramos a sus costas en cada parada que hacemos, cada noche pescamos nuestra cena y desayuno para continuar en este viaje lleno de emociones, en el cuarto día unos delfines nos acompañan por veinticinco minutos desapareciendo en su mar profundo tan azul como nuestro cielo, lo mejor de explorar en kayak es su avance silencioso que te permite ver la fauna de una manera muy especial y única, aún recuerdo la mirada de algunos delfines con los cuales nadamos con máscaras de buceó, es una experiencia espectacular y maravillosa.

Con una temperatura superior a los 35° no es fácil navegar en una pequeña embarcación como un kayak bajo el sol inclemente pero nuestra persistencia dio frutos al llegar a playa blanca en plena vorágine de este Parque donde nace la belleza del universo y el sol oculta nuestro rumbo con cada atardecer, en esta playa acampamos por dos días para descansar un poco, hacer snorkelling disfrutar de su fauna exótica y seguir nuestro viaje por este pedazo del mar caribe lleno de islas y playas hermosas con aguas donde puedes ver hasta una aguja que caiga en ellas, las aves marinas vuelan sobre nosotros, los peces nadan cerca de nuestras pequeñas embarcaciones, el aire golpea nuestras pieles curtidas del sol abrasador, ya agotados vamos rumbo a la isla de Arapo donde nos quedamos dos días compartiendo con sus habitantes de una hospitalidad que no encontraras en ninguna parte del mundo, en las noches me dedique a mirar las estrellas pudiendo ver una hermosa lluvia de ellas cayendo sobre el horizonte un espectáculo que jamás olvidare en mi vida, las noches frescas alivian nuestro cansancio llenándonos de fuerzas y alegrías, nos dirigimos a playa Colorada para culminar nuestro viaje en kayak por las aguas calmas y piadosas de nuestro hermoso parque nacional Mochima fue una despedida intensa con un cardumen de peces voladores que nos acompañaron hasta pocos metros de la playa, le doy gracias al Mar, a las Aves, a los Peces y Mamíferos marinos que nos acompañaron en esta aventura llena de emociones donde el Sol, la Luna y las Estrellas brillaron por todo lo alto como una fuente de energía inagotable muchas veces extrema y otras tan dulces como los sueños de un humilde caracol que en su espiral guarda los secretos de tan inmenso mar.
