A.I. Chatbot deployed in Wan Fang Hospital, Taipei
This morning I accompanied my parents to go to a hospital in Taipei and when we arrived there seemed to be the ending part of a ceremony and there was a mascot named Wan Fang Junior (萬小芳) in a little girl outfit which is the image of a chatbot the hospital announced today. This is a collaboration between the WF hospital and HTC DeepQ healthcare services. This chatbot is AI-based and will be deployed on the most popular messaging App - LINE in Taiwan. Now everyone can use this bot to register and cancel an appointment, checking out the waiting queue, etc and in the future, they will roll out services like giving you medical division suggestions according to your stated symptoms, checking personal examination results and giving medical advises to the elders living at homes ... That is really cool.
I am glad to see such progress in this highly monitored sector/industry. Health care is definitely one of the most promising area that we can see much progress in the next decade or two. Maybe I will be taken care of by a Bot Doctor when I am older... _

今天陪長輩到台北萬芳醫院去，到現場看到好多人很熱鬧。不用擔心，不是不好的事啦，沒有救護車。原來是萬芳醫院跟HTC宏達電的DeepQ健康醫療事業部合作推出「萬小芳」線上人工智慧醫療服務聊天機器人，現場有隻大玩偶就是萬小芳本人，哈哈！目前，民眾只要透過在台灣最普及的LINE聊天軟體，就可以24小時詢問掛號、就醫、回診相關訊息，未來將會增加讓病患查詢私人檢驗結果、用藥資訊等，希望也能推廣至社區長照，進展至遠距醫療等等。
很高興看到管制嚴格的醫療領域能夠利用最新科技來造福人群，隨著人口老化，未來醫療領域絕對是快速發展的黃金年代。AI來了，區塊鏈聽說也有開始應用，或許我老一點的時候，就是機器人醫生幫我看診？
