If history is any indication, wars and religious conflicts dot the course of civilizations. Today we are approaching a level of violence as unseen before, and if we do not pay attention, we will wake up with a world war on our door steps. Just watch the news and keep your eyes on the ball rolling. Anybody can see this. This one will be pretty nasty because many countries already have AI weaponry and they are much more advanced than we think. Most people have no idea as high tech gadgets keep their minds busy.
2016 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon's fiscal 2017 budget request will include $12 billion to $15 billion to fund war gaming, experimentation and the demonstration of new technologies aimed at ensuring a continued military edge over China and Russia, Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work said on Monday. The U.S. military plans to invest in autonomous weapons and deep-learning machines that draw on advances in artificial intelligence, with a heavy focus on human-machine collaboration and teaming in combat, Work said.
So when Elon Musk and Ray Kurweil say that we must merge wit AI, what they do really mean is that we must prepare for PERPETUAL cyber wars. Immortality is the utopian incentive used by the proponents of AI. Cyber wars will be able to "ERASE" millions of beings at the time from the hive mind at the speed of light because quantum computer viruses will become more sophisticate as times goes by.
So when Musk and Kurzweil try sell us their "immortality" incentive, it is really a deception. It is not just America that is pouring billions into AI warfare. It is time to get real!!
