Eric Wang, the successful owner of the Modern Toilet, had a great idea of having the symbiosis between eating and taking a dump, as a theme for his new restaurant. It’s weird, but it has proved to be a great hit when it opened. With its success, you might find a few more toilet-themed restaurants, not only in Taiwan, but also in Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia.

China: Prison Restaurant

This restaurant in China, the Devil Island, is probably one of the most unusual restaurants in the world. Well, it does make you feel that you’re inside a prison with all the jail bars, prison cells, and creepy decors inside, as you get served by waitresses dressed as jail wardens. In fact, patrons are often photographed, fingerprinted, and handcuffed before entering this restaurant.

Belgium: Dinner in the Sky

Literally, the sky is the limit in this restaurant. Dinner in the Sky takes you 150 feet above the ground before you get served with their international cuisines, which is all done by three chefs who are also off the ground. This restaurant can already be found in many parts of the world, including Asia, Australia, Canada, and US.

Dubai is located in the warmest region of the world – this is probably why Chill Out became a hit when it opened. It’s simply a restaurant inside a huge refrigerator where you can find most things, like tables and chairs, made of pure ice. Before you enter this place, you’ll have to wear gloves and parka.
