Anarchaforko Anarchapulco Fork Update: @erikaharris' multisensory workshop and More Second Day Photos

@erikaharris got the intention of the fork from the beginning and it showed with her workshop she did the second day. It was interactive and multisensory involving both touch and smell. She commented on a fork update recently with a comment I believe is seriously worth sharing right now, below:

"@lily-da-vine, deep thanks to you and John for making space that anarchists could fill with whatever we liked!

It was interesting to see the effect that so much wide open freedom had on people. It seemed to really expose how accustomed many of us still are to having things done for us... and being told the experience we will have.

Now that we all better understand what is possible -- in that venue, and in US -- next year will be FIRE.

And this year was an amazing light! Big, boatloads of love and respect to you, both. <3"

She said it better than I could and I felt it's worth sharing as it's a really good summation of my thoughts on what happened at the fork. It was interesting who embraced the free form structure and who still clung to more traditional ideas like speeches. We had sound equipment and mics available and set up but the idea was for those to be held for when necessary like the Steemit Panel we did the last day with @kennyskitchen or @larkenrose and @dragonanarchists awesome musical performance.

I'll title this part of @erikaharris' workshop "Pull my Finger" because that's literally how she introduced it and that's what people did. There was a lot more to it than that but that's on @erikaharris to explain when she has the time and inclination.

I didn't do the finger pulling but I did watch and take pictures laughing at some of the responses of those who did participate. It was cool to see things fall together, for people to get to share what they wanted and for others to step outside of their comfort zone a little bit.

@mwolfe13 had some cool stickers on her laptop I couldn't help but sneak a picture of.

And after the workshop things broke off like this, little groups discussing whatever they'd like. It was very organic and it worked.

...and reorganized for more talks like this one.

I got some shots of Daphne and her brother who sat there much of the weekend selling their wares while Daphne did henna tattoos on everyone including me.

As you can tell they're a gorgeous duo.

While I'm admittedly still worn out in some ways from the fork, I honestly kind of miss the hustle and bustle, the building itself and the people who came out of the woodwork to fork with us. The small size this year made it really intimate which made it so everyone got a chance to mingle and meet which in many ways was super valuable.
