Seriously, a free pair of ducks?
Today we had an amazing opportunity. Some neighbors or ours have Muscovy ducks, which have been reproducing really well. They know that we like growing and raising our own food, so they asked us if we wanted a pair.
Of course, we took advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Not only did they offer us a pair of them, they even let us pick. Now, to @papa-pepper a duck is a duck, and he doesn’t really have a preference, so the honor of selecting the pair went to the @little-peppers.
There were a variety of white, gray, and black colored Muscovys ducks to choose from.
In the end, we chose two that looked similar, a large black & white male and a smaller black & white female.
Since these were the only two that color in the bunch, it will be easy to tell which ones are ours. Of course, we took our back with us, but if they get out and sneak next door, we will know which ones are ours.
Not only do we have a male and a female Muscovy now, but the neighbors said that they should be laying their own eggs soon, which could lead to ducklings in the near future!!! Now that would be exciting!!
