I’m a landscape architect. I’m working in Singapore for more than 14 years. I have gone thru more than 300 design and build projects and landscape tenders. Below are some of design proposal and previous project works.
This is a landscape design proposal for a high class bungalow unit. The front garden area is a terrace type of planters. To creating the sense of welcoming and warming, the flowering and colourful type of trees and shrubs are selected to be planted. The proposed plants are small and medium size after established maturely, to make sure the root system of plants are not aggressive type which’s easy to maintain for long term.
2nd one is another landscape proposal for high class bungalow @ Ewart Park, Singapore. Based on site visit, I found that there are many shaded landscape area at 1st storey outdoor spaces. Therefore, the shaded plants are selected carefully by considering different height and size after plant establishing.
To create jungle and forest feeling for perimeter planting area, multilayer planting scheme is proposed. Variety of ferns and palms are planted near to swimming pool decking landscape area.
This is a greenwall design at SBG. The presentation board shows greenwall elevation, construction details and completed site photo. The type of greenwall system is potted type system. The galvanised metal flame is fixed to hold the potted system.
The design concept is flowering and colourful. Therefore, the plant selection such as Asystasia gangetica variegated, Portuloca grandiflora, Acalypha chamaedrifolia, lantana camara, Allamanda dwarf, Spathglottis plicata, etc.
The last one is a NRP project (HDB Neighbourhood Renewal Programme) at Serangoon North. I involved for the softscape tender drawings preparation. The presentation board shows the landscape plan, proposed plant images and site construction photos.
Being a landscape architect is not only have to know designing and drawing. We also have to analysis site, prepare tender and contract documentation for site construction and implementation, and carry on the works until landscape management and maintenance.
