About- Sakura

Hey SteemFam!

This s an upcycled liquor bottle that I painted in themes of pink and white, with hints of silver. I had plans for this bottle. Big plans... lol.

My vision for the bottle was a white and pink sponge painted bottle (for the texture and effect), over which there would be cherry trees. I love anime... I love Japan... and I love Sakura.

At first, the bottle was pretty plain as you can see below-

Like always, I took time to ponder on the piece and figure out what I wanted to add to it. I knew I wanted to paint on, the Japanese character Sakura... I was just not confident.

I took time to practice writing the characters. When I was finally ready, I took a deep breath and painted 'Sakura' on the bottle. I then added a little silver paint to the brim and the bottom of the bottle.

It pained me to part with this piece since it held a special place in my heart, but it was made to be sold... and sell it I did.
