YOU WILL BE SURPRISED when you discover the evolution of this piece of art for @topkpop's 6th Art Contest
The theme this week was PASSION. When I decided starting thinking about what I'm gonna do for this project, I had I immediately THE idea :
I will not "plan" a project, but I will
FULLY TRUST MY PASSION FOR CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
And so I prepared my working environment to stimulate my passion. I (over)filled my table with all kind of art supplies, "trash" I kept to recyle one day, paints, papers, stencils, stamps... all I could find. Without any idea what my passion would bring me today.
So now I was in my CCC (cosy creative cocoon😃) and I let my passion start her work. She decided to start with a thick layer of white gesso and to put some wool inside and stick it with gesso as well. This was to get some structure on my paper. (I have never used this technique before)
Then my passion decided for some blue-greenish colours to cover the sheet randomly:
As the wool had created delimited zones, the idea came to color some zones with some contrasting colours. First some white gesso to make the coverage easier:
But then when I saw the result... OH NOOOO ... and that should be my PASSION entry for @topkpop ????? I really didn't like it ...

My passion and I went to sleep for a night and I was sure she was going to come up with some nice ideas!

And so: new day = new ideas...
My passion had the idea to cover the whole artpiece with a thin layer of silver acrylic paint.
OH WOW that creates a nice effect, I was thinking. We are on the right way! I'm sure she will surprise me even further.
And here we went for the next step : stencil patterns inside the colored zones.
And then Oh YESSSS again a new idea I never did before : Spray paint on mixed media with a piece of paper to have a straight ending!
SO COOL! I love it! and the pink dust highlighted the wool! Have a look close by!
What else did I have on my overloaded table? Ah "adhesive diamonds". Perfect!
And then as a last touch my passion pointed me out a stamp with the words :
But if you never try, you will never know
That was exactly what fitted here in the artpiece!
If I would never have tried to trust my passion, I would never have created this magic piece!
