Using gel medium and the palette knife, paste pieces of pages from an old book onto a thick paper.

Cover the whole page with paper and medium.
Then cut the borders straight.

Cover the whole with a very thin layer of acrylic paint using a sponge to tap.

I started with beige colour and then used a very tiny little dark brown.

Using the palette knife and dark brown, apply paint to represent grass.

Paint flowers by dipping a Q-tip into paint and then making dots.

Add some thin brown border around the whole paper with the sponge in order to soften the border a bit.

Now pass on to the butterflies : cut some butterflies out of old book pages and paint them brown (I used the same colour as the flowers)

Cut a piece of golden wire and fold it in 2. This will become the body and sensors of the butterfly.

Put the paper butterfly in between the wire and twist the wire at the other end. Fold the ends of the sensors.

Now stick the butterflies with some glue onto the background.
