This is the first step of the series of 6 articles explaining some art-techniques ending up into my latest acrylic painting in the theme Black & Red Mixed Media.

This 11th art lesson is about applying Decopatch
ā a canvas (in my case 20x20 cm)
ā red acrylic paint
ā paintbrush for painting
ā paintbrush for applying glue
ā transparent glue (mod podge)
ā Decopatch paper (or alternatively tissues or silk paper)
First I painted a zone in red and let it dry.
Now I apply first some mod podge onto the red zone. Then I place the paper onto it (still on the wet glue) and cover it again with glue starting from the middle to the outside until it's fully covered.
When the glue is dry, I cover the whole with some acrylic paint and a very little water in order to make it a bit more transparent.
