STREET ART – Colombian artist « JabaOne» with his Aztec murals in Singapore

DSC_01.JPG

When visiting the old Arab area in Singapore, and especially Haji Lane, Arab street and Beach Rd. it is easy to fall in love with this area. Old shophouses, bazars, the smell of shisha cafes and middle Eastern food. The area also has a lot of street art, and as far as I know, one of the first areas in Singapore to have street art. One particular mural made å big impression on me. The Aztec mural.

This enormous Aztec mural is covering the whole wall of the mexican restaurant named Piedra Negro. This wall was done by JabaOne, a Colombian artist, who actually has a large collection in this area.

There are so many details and many figures to be studiet carefully on this wall. The murals goes around the building, so remember to go all the way around!

«Jaba» - Didier Mathieu is a Columbian artist who came to Singapore. If you are interested in knowing more I found this article:
