Puppy Charcoal Original Pencil Drawing

This is my original puppy Charcoal drawing. Size 60x90cm
Drawing animals with lifelike detail is both challenging and extremely rewarding. I have spent years learning on how to make my works more realistic, and with every drawing my arm just automatically wants to draw longer and longer. I remember when i could finish this kind of work in about 50 hours. Now its simply impossible. This one for example took me about 150 hours. Some work may even take up to 200. I must say, that the result now is 3 times better with so many hours invested than it was earlier with less time.
Just to draw the nose took me about 5 hours. I used mostly dark charcoal on this one. Sometimes i use also light charcoal pencil, but not so often. I used an eraser in the end to make those highlight spots
