Sister superior, A scratchbuilt Inquisitor model.

Another installment in my hand sculpted - home casted miniature series.

This Miniature, like some of the heads from last post, is for an Inquisitor model. It is a sister of battle , which are basically female space marines. I always liked them alot, because female warriors in powered armour is totally badass.

I sculpted this miniature specifically for casting. At the time I had great plans about starting a miniatures company, and i wanted to use these figures as a training platform and a way to fine tune the design and casting pipeline. I usually made a finished one-piece sculpt then cut it up and re-sculpted the seems for casting. Sometimes, as with this one, the arms and head was separate from the beginning.

The company never did become a reality, at least not in the form I had originally thought it would, but I did sell a few miniatures.

One of the main problems was that I could not make miniatures specifically for games workshop games, as their policy has always been to sue everybody to hell first and ask questions after. The market for other miniatures unfortunately wasn't very big at the time, and I already had multiple other projects going on, so I mostly ended up doing models for myself and friends

I did make quite a few models and sold a few also, but I was never a great businessman , and anyway that part of it never had my interest. I still have the molds somewhere though so maybe one day :-)
