Ever dreamt to steal from a museum? Now it's perfectly legal, thanks to Rijskmuseum. 

       

What is it ? 

In order to reach to the greatest number of people as possible and to draw attention to the extensive collection of art which it is hosting, Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum has made a policy to allow, and even encourage designers and creators, to "steal" from its collections for creation and design. 

And for the 3rd time, the museum has launched a contest, richly rewarded, to  

Everyone is allowed to participate. Any form of art is allowed as well. You want to create a mobile cover inspired by Vermeer ? A t-shirt with a painting of Rembrandt ? It's possible!

Download any image which may inspire you 

Create your stuff and submit it via the online form https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/rijksstudio-award/enter-rijksstudio-award-2017 

All works must be submitted before January 15th 2017 

Prizes 

There are 4 prizes 

• The first prize is 10,000 euro. 
• The second 2,500 euro. 
• The third 1,500 euro.  
• And there is a people’s choice award of 1,000 euro.  

The finalists’ projects will be exhibited in one of the museum’s galleries for ten weeks following the reveal on 21 April 2017.
