Last summer I was hired by a gentleman's club to replace all their bar stools with tiki stools. The reason, because their patrons are mostly big men, breaking all their stools.
I had to carve some examples for them first, so they could test them. Here's the first 2 prototypes:
I hope this is appropriate and not against Steemit rules/etiquette.
Anyway they didn't want anything flashy or to take the attention off their girls so the rated R one was not picked. Their budget was also a factor. I tried to sell them on the more expensive pieces though. Here's a pic of the finished female tiki stool. I did end up selling it to someone else
They also didn't want any color, again to keep the eyes on their girls. So this one was not picked as well
They chose a more basic design based off the tikis already built in to their establishment pictured here
So I had to make one more prototype for them before they said to go ahead.
Equipped with a seat and backrest on a swivel.
I had to carve 25 of them...
All with different expressions
The first 7 finished, they put them together with their own swivels.
A little gif action for ya, burning with a torch is like sanding. It gets all the burrs and hair-like splinters made by the chainsaw.
Fun stuff, carving for a strip club. I haven't received photos from them yet of the bar with them all setup. But have to return for a meeting with them about some more work.
I hope you like my post, if so feel free to upvote and resteem. Thank you all for following, enjoy!
