Visual Explorations 010 | Art

Still Image from of a series of video studies I've been working on about interference patterns (as in editions 006 & 007), this one focusing on refraction and movement.

Playing with the dynamic effect between shapes allowed me to further develop some ongoing ideas and find new ones to incorporate in my paintings (and other media like sculpture & installation).

In mathematics, physics, and art, a moiré pattern (/mwɑːrˈeɪ/; French: [mwaʁe]) or moiré fringes[1] are large-scale interference patterns that can be produced when an opaque ruled pattern with transparent gaps is overlaid on another similar pattern.

001 / 002 / 003 / 004 / 005 / 006 / 007 / 008 / 009

Series of graphics, illustrations, videos and photographs made along the way in my creative process.

Visual Explorations refer to different ways of using visual material to communicate a message. For example, an artist will often create a number of versions and visual explorations when developing ideas.
