Fumed Green, Black and White Glass Spoon Pipe Practice Photo Shoot

Something I've learned with glassblowing is that if you don't learn the basics, the complicated stuff will be impossible to you. I tried repeatedly to go beyond my skills as a glassblower unrealistically (sometimes it is good to challenge yourself, just do so smartly) and honestly ended up seriously discouraged for months as a result. For that reason, my latest efforts on the torch have been directed at perfecting the basics, one by one.

The hazy blue hue comes from silver fuming. I wrapped some translucent green around the bowl and and dotted it up with black and white. I think the effect is quite interesting.

While the shaping of the pipe didn't go as desired, I did get a feel for the color combination and I'll say that I'm a fan of how that bit turned out at least.
