Hi friends, I have done today something for the first time - my first manga drawing/painting. You know I like challenges and I enjoy trying new things, so when I came across a contest by @htliao I told myself it could be fun to try it. So here is the result - my Steemit hero in manga style.
Of course, I had to find some model because it is not easy to draw without it if you dont´t know the style well, but I completed iti with my own ideas, colors, and so on :)
Here is the process:
First I had to prepare a sketch. I used only pencil and tried to make smooth less visible lines.
Then I retraced the pencil with a waterproof liner. I used two tip sizes, but it is not very visible.
I could start to paint then, I chose to paint with my favourite watercolors. First I made the lighter shades on the base, then shadows.
Then I painted the background with very wet light blue and I added just a litle bit of salt to create some nice effects.
... added also my signature :)
And it is done! It is not perfect, but I enjoyed it and I am quite satisfied with the result.
