Can you imagine walking around your city and randomly finding a blue cow? Well, in my city this is possible, thanks to the graffiti artist Okso.
Recently I was with a friend and fellow Steemian, in the hunt for cool things to take pictures of, old buildings, art in walls and all kind of interesting finds. During this hunt I found something that caught my attention, a blue cow with big eyes, that day I found it in 3 different places and I was curious about the history behind it, so I did a little research.
A little behind the Blue Cow:
The graphic artist, sculptor and illustrator Alejando Medina, better known as Okso, is the hands behing Cleta, the blue cow that embellish the city with its colorful fur.
What does the artist say of his work?
“they are conceived in big scale, exhibit all around the urban space, to break with the cardboard speech of the city. It’s a way of taking the message to the social imaginary”.
Okso, to La Verdad news paper.

Where can we found Cleta? The blue cow can be found in different corners of the city, placed in old or traditional houses, abounded buildings that used to be casinos and hotels, it can be even found on an old public transportation car.
I’m planning on making a continuation of this post, because I know there are more blue cows out there and my mission will be finding them, so far I have found a new wall that I haven’t been able to take a picture of, but I’ll do it sometime in the future.
Thank you for passing by and reading my post.
