Another amazing art collaboration call from @everlove!! For this one I thought I would brush up on my drawing skills and draw some Mexican inspired day of the dead type skulls!!!

Join in the fun via the original post here - shadow mandala

I really liked the look of this challenge. As I was looking I realised I need a full mandala as I intended to use them for the eyes of the skull. So I had to heal the one we were given.

It was fecking trickier than it looked. But some drawing and cutting and pasting in PicSay pro and I was done

Now what, well... Just the reading of shadow mandala got me thinking and skulls was the thing I was thinking of!!

So to draw one. I realised I would need a paint bucket to fill in my little designs and for this the only app I had was sketch. So off I went and started on my skull.

You know, drawing on a phone is really tough!!

At this point I must say I was also terribly inspired by @opheliafu. I will never even trouble the shadow of the skill she has but boy did she inspire me!

I also decided to keep the eyes sparse because I intended to paste the mandalas in for the eyes!!

Not only would I need a skull but I reckoned my inner hippy needed fed. So a flower too. Again using sketch for the handy paint bucket. To fill in those cutesy petals.

Now I had those it was off to compete the piece.

I created a fresh canvas in PicSay pro and posted in a giant version of the mandala.

Then I used the swirl effect and reduced the opacity to get a nice background. Using that mandala add much as possible!!
