My Watercolor scketch. Maple Leaf. step-by-step. 100% original content.

I remember in childhood we always collected huge bouquets of maple leaves.
Grandma put them on the table, and it was so beautiful, like sitting by the fire and enjoying the flames of autumn.

Soon this season will come again, when the maple leaves will be of extraordinary beauty. And this beauty will want to be draw or be made in a painting.
I propose to get ready for this and see how to draw maple leaves (a lesson for those who do not know how to draw at all)

So, take the watercolor paper. It is better to be denser and with a textured surface - the texture will give a watercolor a certain charm and mystery))) You can watercolor paper, I now use paper for pastels - I really like it, you can draw an album (if only the sheets were not very smooth)
On the selected paper, draw a maple leaf. Draws SIMPLY !! (for those who are afraid))). First, the main line is drawn, passing through the shank to the upper tip of the sheet. Then the point is chosen, from which the guides of the leaf segments depart. Next, along these guides draw the shape of the maple leaf. It looks like this:

Then we begin to paint our leaf. Maple leaves in autumn are very different in color. Therefore, we have complete freedom of action - from green to brown, all our colors)
I chose a warm range. I start from the edge of the sheet. Usually, at the edges of the maple leaves begin to dry up, so there I focus on the brown contour:

and further, wetting the water with a dry paper, I paint with spots, I let the colors merge and play with each other. Here the main thing is not to paint with an even color, so that our leaf was alive, and not like a painted wall or cut from a single-colored paper.

further we add a stalk of a leaf and we trace in some places streaks

add the background of the sky (in the autumn the sky is usually gray-violet in tone, but so you want the sun, so we make the sky a nice day and the main color let it be blue :) But we do not forget the violet too,

And, of course, what autumn without rain. Adding drops:

And now ot's ready!!!
Have a great weekend!
