Art #71 - My Collaborative Artwork with @everlove [sound]

This is definitely not for the faint of heart!

Here is my collaboration artwork, I created following this invitation post by @everlove.

The image above is a screenshot from an app that I used to convert the image provided by @everlove into sound.

Here is the original image:

It shows some old guitar strings, that have been bound together like a dream-catcher.
So I thought about how cool it would be to be able to transform this image into real sound.

As I'm more an artist than a musician I needed an app for that. So I stumbled across an app called Virtual ANS:

Virtual ANS is a software simulator of the unique Russian synthesizer ANS - photoelectronic microtonal/spectral musical instrument created by Russian engineer Evgeny Murzin from 1938 to 1958. It is a full-featured professional tool which allows you to create unusual, deep, atmospheric sounds. With this app you can draw a complete piece of music, or convert sound to image (sonogram) and then make some complex sonogram modifications.

This might be just the beginning of some bigger, but may I have your attention please ?

Here is a screen recording of how those dead guitar strings sound like!
Be cautious with the volume!

Hope you liked it and feel inspired to build on that.

The only rule for collaboration is that you have to mention all former artists (in this case @everlove and @shortcut).

The Virtual ANS App is available for iOS, Android, Windows, Linux and OS X.
