Starring Marion Cotillard as Gabrielle a woman who suffers from kidney stones, 'mal de pierres' like the title indicates, we soon learn the pain she feels from it is just the tip of the iceberg. I loved every scene and how couldn't you with this tremendous actress.

Un beau dimanche / Going Away (2013)

This is some kind of cheat because Louise Bourgoin, who plays Sandra, is not the only leading actor, we also have Pierre Rochefort, who plays a teacher named Baptiste, and he's the reason we meet Sandra. Baptiste is a school teacher and the son of Sandra, and his student, is the link between the two. As the original name says, the plot develops over a weekend and we're able to learn a lot about this three characters. Highly recommended, specially if you like all what southern France has to offer.

La dame dans l'auto avec des lunettes et un fusil / The lady in the car with glasses and a gun (2015)

When you enter the name of this movie on IMDB you will learn it's a remake and the old one has a better score, I didn't watch the original, but I loved this one. With the lovely Freya Mavor leading as Dany, a girl a little insecure who needs to take a break from her life and, maybe for the first time, she takes it. The story starts when her boss leands his car to her so she can park it after he an his family leave at the airport. It was simple, but she had something else in mind. Great movie, and absolutely fun.
