Hi Steemians,
The first time I heard about Surrealism to describe a style of art was probably when I was in 6th grade. Well as a youngster, it seemed like excessive work to try to comprehend, so I disregarded the term. That is until some point later when I went over Pablo Picasso's Masterpieces, my curiosity was prodded.
These incredible works have profound meaning behind them. Thinking about these paintings and illustrations made by extraordinary hands is energizing to me.

Underneath, you'll see a portrait done in my own style.
First, I drew the frame of the heart.
The final frame of the heart was done.
I apologize if the pictures are too dark, lighting in my room is horrible. I'm only using the flashlight from my phone.
This is me, looolzzz.
Then, below, I used a ball point pen to draw this.
Adding some veins....
Surrealism is a dreamscape that you can become entangled in or it can also be extremely prosaic. Regardless, you don't need to be an expert to find significance in it.
For however long it captures your attention, it makes you ponder on the whys and whats behind the painting - there may not even be an answer! At that point, you have begun to understand a touch about what Surrealism is.
Thank you for dropping by Steemians.
