Art Attack! #110: Cat-fish and Cat-Dolphin Badges! 🐟🐬

Hey Steemit!

We're back again with another Art Attack! If you're new to the series, this is where I share my drawings and the process behind them. A behind-the-scenes look at my artwork, if you will. This is not to say that I'm very good at art, or that I'm a professional in any way. In fact this is the opposite, and serves as a reminder to how I first started, and lets me track my progress too!

So if you missed my last post I started sharing more art I did for my Twitch channel in the form of customised bit badges! Badges are special icons that users can put beside their name in the chat that will show up on different Twitch channels! There are many different types of badges on Twitch such as when you send bits/cheers on a channel. Each bit is 1 cent, and there are so many bit badges up to 5 million bits?!

I notice not many streamers do it, but I thought customised badges would look really cool so these were the ones I did!

So I shared the first two last week and for the later ones I kind of had an idea to build off of the whaling concept on Twitch where we call people who spend a lot of money "whales". And since that's essentially what throwing bits is on Twitch, I thought it works. I decided to expand it and separated into goldfish, dolphin and different types of whales too! But I made into cat versions since that's kinda my thing.

For the 1K bit badge, I started with the goldfish and made it into a cat-fish instead! I referenced a picture of a very cute goldfish and added cat ears! Also I kind of build off of my first bit badge where I had the cat nomming a coin and thought this pose of the catfish would be perfect for it to hold more coins in his paws!

So this is what I came up with and I thought it looked really cute!

And here's the timelapse:

Since the first one was catfish, I thought a dolphin for the next one at 5K would be perfect! And there were so many cute dolphin references I found online but I absolutely loved this one the most! It looks adorable!

But I kinda wanted to draw a pink dolphin instead since I didn't want all of them to be blue and thought a pink dolphin would look so cute and I was not wrong. Of course I added the cat ears and for this one I made the dolphin hold a stack a dollar bills instead!

I even drew some sparkly eyes for the dolphin since he likes money and I thought it fit pretty well! Here's the timelapse!

I thought they came out pretty well and I loved them so much! For the next couple of badges I had a couple of interesting ideas and couldn't wait to work on them so tune in for more!

Thanks so much for reading!
