The first piece I am sharing is literally just experimenting and having fun with the new materials I purchased for collages; fiber paste, glass bead gel and handmade papers from Tops Art Supplies. I am still figuring out how to properly use the fiber paste and glass bead gel; but my first image was a lot of fun to make.

For this piece I just cut out a random photo I liked from Vogue and placed handmade papers over it, learning and observing the the way the paper mixed with the fiber paste, gel medium, and other mediums to create effects.

As I work an image slowly emerges, and I start to go into this place inside myself that is hard to explain in words; it is like I go into this trance of creation to draw something new and meaningful into the world.

I actually worked on the piece in this direction...which way do you think is better?
