What is Inline four?

Inline four is a type of engine in which all four cylinders are mounted in a straight line!

There are six types of engines used on vehicles:

1. Inline
2. V - Type
3. Horizontal
4. Opposed cylinder type
5. W - Type
6. Radial Engine

What difference does it make?

Different kinds of engines produce different horsepower and torque.

What is horsepower and torque?

Horsepower describes how powerful an engine is. The more you have it, the higher is your car's top speed!

Torque is the ability of the engine to do work. The more you have it, the more load your car can take.

In simple terms,

A V-engine produces higher torque than an Inline engine.

They behave differently as well.

An inline engine sounds sweet and melodious, whereas a V-engine sounds like a roar!

I won't go too deep right now, and keep it for another day, if y'all are interested that is!

I absolutely love the sweet sound of the inline four!
