The Old Dog Returns to See: More Fanciful Artwork in That Tiny Town!

I knew that I would return one day to see more and then life just took me there!

A few weeks ago I published one of my more successful articles wherein I wrote about how I had "discovered" an artist. I had gone to do a quote in Tremona and since I got the job I was "forced" to return!

Here's the article:  The Old Dog Asks: Did One Artist Really Beautify an Entire Town?

I Parked The Car And Here is What I Saw on my Way to The Job!

Again this one covers what would just be a mundane electrical panel: I love the colors and the artist's imagination!

The piece makes up part of this entrance. I love the contrast of the dull old wall with the beautiful light and deep blues!

Here's a closer view of the detail above the arch of the door. What a playful take on the stereotypical muscled men that are so often holding up the weight of structures above them! Notice the depth and the shadows captured with brush strokes!

This piece is on another house just across the lane and it shares the same cloudy theme and wonderful sense of fun! Keep in mind that this is just a flat utility door panel that has been given life and 3 dimensions by the artist! Marti often features a burned matchstick in his paintings!

What Other Surprises are Beyond The Gates And Walls of This Magical Town?

So many walls and gates leading into mysterious courtyards!

So far I've learned that there is another artist in the town and a very prolific sculptor. The man whose house that I worked at today is a film maker. That makes 3 artists that I've "discovered" that are all living on the same little lane way!

What Have You Noticed?

  • Have you noticed that like people often group together?
  • Do you know of any artist's enclaves or communities?
  • Have you explored them?

I hope that you enjoyed my return to Tremona and seeing more Fanciful Artwork!

Until next time,
