Skyylar's Art - A Mini Gallery (#artistsinbloom)

Recently, @everlove put a call out for the inclusion of more children's art using the tag #artistsinbloom.  This is in response to that and also because my daughter has been rather prolific with the art she has been creating lately. This is a mini gallery of just a few of the creations my daughter, Skyylar, has been creating over the past couple months.  I am including a couple paintings she did at school, too.  Skyylar is currently in 5th grade and is 10 years old.  Enjoy!

This is the 2nd version she did of this girl with violin.  She copied an image she found online for a school art contest, and then later re-created it again in this drawing.  BTW - Skyylar also plays violin and is a huge fan of Lindsey Stirling.

This painting was a project she did at school.  In addition to myself doing art with the 5th grade classes at her school, there is a substitute teacher who has been frequently been in Skyylar's class (filling in for the regular teacher) who has been doing quite a bit of watercolor painting with her class.  This watercolor pumpkin project was amazing.  I actually got photos of many of the other student's pumpkin paintings which I may do a separte post with - in the future.

This snowman is another project that that substitute teacher did with the students.  This was another really cool project - with the students working with sponge brushes.

This mermaid drawing was my birthday present from Skyylar a few weeks ago.  Cute!

Skyylar has been drawing a LOT of people lately - mainly from photos or other artwork she finds online.  She's always borrowing my phone or my laptop, which sort of annoys me - but often it's because she's doing things like these drawings:

Because her older sister does a lot of artwork that is anime-style or similar, Skyylar has been pretty interested in that style as well.
