Today, I am hitting two birds in one stone.
1st bird : Joining the #artstorm contest
2nd bird: Featuring the beaches in the Philippines that I have fallen in love with.
People often use the tag #VitaminSea when they post a picture of them in the beach on social media. That is not surprising though, because the beach is one of the best places to go when someone wants to relax, breathe and enjoy.
I myself love to go to the beach. Aggresively, when my family or friends go to the beach, I am always the first person to dip into the water. I am always the one who gets sunburn. And the last person to leave the water.
I cannot really put into words the exact reason why I am extremely happy when I am in the beach. Perhaps, the simplest thing I know to describe myself is that I am a water person.
So, I am very fortunate to live in the Philippines where the best beachers are located. I have visited plenty already, and everytime I go to one place to another, I really can't help but be amazed. Every beach resort has something to offer.
Give me the chance to share them to you. If you visited them already, you will surely agree that these places are really marvelous.
Kalanggaman Island, Leyte
I learned that it is named Kalanggaman from the word "Langgam" or bird in #bisaya because this island forms a bird when you look at it from the top.
Dakak, Dapitan City
Aside from the white fine sand, you can also enjoy water sports. You got to put this on your list when you visit Dapitan where Jose Rizal, the Philippines National Hero was exciled. I would love to be exciled in Dapitan, too.
Kalimutko Beach
"Kalimot" means forget. I forgot the name of the beach really, lol. But I will never forget the fun I had here.
Danao, Cebu
This is not a white sand beach, but it actually doesn't matter. It's clean, peaceful and near to my hometown, so I just love it.
Mactan New Town Beach
It is very affordable and a fun beach. So, you don't have to worry if you only have a small budget.
Panglao Beach, Bohol
I know this is not the best photo to promote Bohol's Panglao, but I love seeing myself here playing the sands, building sand castles that really did not happen. But, this one also is the beach (best)!
So, I also used the photo as a reference to my 15-minute sketch submitted for the contest hosted by @deemarshall, called #Artstorm Drawing Contest #7.
The Drawing Process
I didnt have a pencil sketch here so, I directly used the black pen here. No more initial sketch so I apologize for the wrong proportions. So, here are the steps:
