Spring Flower bouquets
Title of this art: Blue Bells & Forget-me-nots
Here is an illustration of a bunch of Blue bells and Forget-me-nots made into a bouquet. I want to show a bit of the work room or at least give a hint that this drawing is about the work of a busy florist. That explains the random scissors, jars and ribbon on her work table. The florist owns a small shop downtown called The Blue Bell. Obviously named after her favorite flower. She has an online shop where the bulk of her order comes from. Being a small startup she can not afford yet to hire extra hands so that makes her busy doing all the tasks on her own.
On this drawing I want to highlight the beautiful and rich colors of the flowers of the season by choosing just two of them as it'd be a challenge for me to work on a kaleidoscope of colors. Imagine me being the florist running here and there with all the flowers scattered on the work table, now that doesn't look nice. Anyway... The green stems although many, didn't cluttered the look but provided a nice contrast and made the rich violet and light green colors pop. That made me quite happy under pressure.
