Scene 17: Sweet New Friendship
The parade is a scene stealer, more and more people came by to witness this rare event. After the Easter celebration, a parade will surely start to keep that momentum of bringing in hope, love, tenderness or sweetness. The locals of this town call it the Gardenlane Spark Of Hope Festival. The mayor started this event five years ago as a way of giving thanks and spreading happiness and hope. Looking back, Gardenlane Town has been experiencing long and cold winters recently and the effect of it is massive. People are leaving town in search of a milder climate where people and commerce could thrive. It was very fortunate for those who remained because the situation is getting better and small to medium businesses are starting to pop left and right. The odds worked in favor of Mrs. Bertie as she was able to start with two: a flower shop and a cafe.
Meanwhile, Chri Chri the bunny was quick to catch up with the running field mouse. The two stumbled upon a brown bag field with sweet treats. The mouse thought this could be his last but was surprised to see Chri Chri offer him a gentle hand that helped him stand up from where he had tripped. Without a word the two shared the sweet treats it looks like a new form of bond was made. The mouse slowly slurp the melting ice cream while Chri Chri observed quietly as if he was pleased the tiny mouse didn't run.
