So, I've been drawing for a couple months now
...well, a while longer than that. I think I got started with random anatomy sketches while I lived in Japan, but there were years and years in between now and then and more miles than I can count. Why I decided to pick up drawing again, well, that's going to be a different post. Maybe tomorrow. Got an idea for a cool video I could put together. The cover of book number 1 is the teaser, but not the punchline :)
But, to the point of this post!
I've written several chapters now for my BURNING BLADE SAGA.
Like a good cup of coffee it keeps on getting better and better...for me :) I mean that the more that I write his story, the more my imagination grows and the more stories I can envision. It's kinda cool. Like caffeine, but there's no cut-off and I keep on getting more energized.
The mysterious warrior of an ancient feudal culture, He's placed himself inside of my head and wants to get out. Now the drawing skills I had been building up for no particular reason suddenly find an edge they wish to cut. So, I changed up my medium, giant graphite cylinders are not good for the detail I wanted to get, and moved to pen. You'll see in an upcoming post what I mean about the graphite stuff. I figured, smaller tip, more permanent, less room for mistakes, so I'll improve faster and be able to get this guy out of my head. Maybe even some other monsters as well...
Here's where I've gotten so far...my drawing skills...slowly improving, hehe.
These pics are from some of the drawings I did in the last couple days. Can't wait until He's found his face so that I can give him a name. Creative minds are weird, so weird. Have you ever had an experience like that in writing, drawing, or other kinds of creativity?
All these images are sketches of other images I found on the Internet. I can't claim originality, not yet.
Stay Tuned for More! :)
