Hey Friends! Did you know that as well as painting designs onto bodies (with Henna) I also paint onto canvas?
Yesterday I picked up some canvases I had hanging in a local yoga studio and thought I’d share a photo of one as it is now taking up space in my dining room (🙄😆).
I love to paint a watercolor-style background with acrylic paint and then paint on a Henna-style design using a thick bodied acrylic paint in my Henna cone! I usually make it up as I go and I always work freehand. No stencils (except my hubby pencils on the main circles with a massive handmade compass for me).
This was my first large-scale canvas painting and I think I’ll keep it forever. I recently sold a pink one that I did in the same size but I’m pretty attached to my green. That’s if it goes with my new colour scheme I’m planning for the house...hmmm....
Anyway I hope to take some videos soon of me painting so you can see the process!
