The Cagsaua Church Ruins

These photos show the remains of Cagsaua Church after its major structure was buried by rocks and lava from the eruption of Mount Mayon Volcano in 1814. I took these photos during my travel in Legaspi City, Bicol way back in 2009 I think. I cannot actually call this as abandoned shit photo though because this is considered as one of the important historical sites in the Philippines. This is actually a timely post because at this moment reports say that Mt. Mayon can strike a hazardous eruption anytime and that people living around the danger zone have been evacuated. However, the Cagsaua Church ruins is indeed a manifestation that at anytime nature can reclaim the works of man.
