For the past week we have been visiting friends in Central Queensland and staying in their caravan. It's a country property out in the middle of nowhere.
There was a commotion out in the annex bit with alot of banging and growling. This two metre lace monitor (goanna) got trapped in with our dog, who was hiding in a corner.
I couldn't get to the screen door handle to let the thing out. After five minutes of growling and a headbutting fit, the lizard moved enough so I could get the door. Then it ran off and climbed the nearest tree.
The dog and I were fine, except for our high heart rates.
