This is my first "Beachwednesday" post (just found out about it).
This is my FAVORITE beach! It is located in Santa Barbara, CA, and is called Arroyo Burro State Beach. Although, locals know it as "Hendry's Beach", and since I grew up in Santa Barbara, that is what I've always called it.
I have gone to this beach - probably hundreds & hundreds of times, and I never get tired of it. Unfortunately, since moving away from Santa Barbara in the early 90's, I usually only get to visit once (or sometimes twice) a year.
Last year my husband & youngest daughter and I got to spend almost an entire week there, and we went to the beach pretty much daily! - usually to this beach. These photos were taken during one of those visits. It's always different - every time you visit. Some days you catch it at high tide, or sometimes low tide. Sometimes you just walk, sometimes build sandcastles, sometimes hunt for rocks or shells, sometimes you just walk and talk about stuff. This time was all about my daughter playing in the surf and she & I collecting different kinds of seaweed.
Looking forward to doing more of these "Beachwednesday" posts in future weeks - because I have a LOT of beach photos! We are avid "beach bums" over here!
