Visiting the town of Santo Domingo - Merida (Venezuela)
Santo Domingo is an Andean town in the state of Mérida located at 2,173 meters above sea level, it is surrounded by many high mountains and its vegetation is typical of páramo. Much of the area is used for agriculture. It has also stood out in the tourist area, there are several hotels and inns. What most attracts tourists are its lagoons and the beauty of its landscapes.

Laguna Negra: this excursion can be done walking or on horseback (guided). The approximate time is 2.5 to 3 hours (round trip). You have to have good physical conditions taking into account that they are 3500 meters above sea level.
Stone Chapel or Chapel of the Virgin of Coromoto: it was built in the 80s by the artist Juan Félix Sánchez. It is located in San Rafael de Mucuchíes. It is located at 3.142 meters above sea level.
The Chapel of Stones is an example of faith moving mountains.
