Today I decided that the word FALL is an acroynm comprised of the following:
F -for
A -all
L -leaf
L -lovers
"Bradford Pear Tree Dressed for Fall"
Fall truly is the season for those who love vibrant colors of foliage: alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, naples yellow and more.
"Leaves Playing Peek-a-Boo"
Fall is a dream come true for photographers and artists alike.๐ธ๐๐จ
"Let it rain, let it rain"
With the eventual rains come the welcome fragrance of Fall. There's a name for this earthy scent. It's called petrichor.
Petrichor (/หpษtrษชkษหr/) is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. It's Mother Nature's secret, patented Yankee Candle scent.
"Let Your Love Rain Down on Me"
Plants secrete oils during dry periods, and when it rains, these oils are released into the air. Petrichor also happens when chemically produced bacteria that grows in the ground, called actinomycetes, are released.
The compounds blend together to create the pleasant petrichor scent when rain hits the ground and they mix.
"Fallen Beauties"
This is my entry to BeautifulSunday hosted weekly by @ace108 as well as to SundayScentExperience by @dutchess.
Have a great day, Steemians!
