Hi again, my friends!
This is my entry for the #BeautifulSunday challenge, initiated by @ace108. Thanks, my friend!
I'm also posting today inspired by #SublimeSunday, a tag from @c0ff33a! Thanks!
As you know, I'm spending some exciting times with my daughter who came to visit me, with her best friend, in East Timor. My daughter has already been here a couple of times, but for her friend it's a first.
So, today, we headed to a beautiful village not far from Díli, called Maubara. In the colonial times, Maubara belonged to the Dutch, while Flores island belonged to the Portuguese. But, as Maubara is located in the mainland of Timor, the two countries made an exchange, and Maubara became Timorese, while Flores belongs to Indonesia after both countries became independent.
Maubara has a beautiful fortress from the Dutch times, and inside it, a simple but nice restaurant welcomed us for a delicious lunch.
Across the street, there's a small market that sells local handicraft, but I will leave the photos I've taken for the next #MarketFriday by @dswigle :)))... So be patient and wait a while more, my friends!
After lunch, we had a coffee and some cookies by the Tasi Cafe (Sea Coffee shop, literally), a nice lounge by the sea. The weather and the mood were perfect!
Then we headed back to Liquiçá, the nearer village, where we had some beers at the Black Rock, a small resort located on a beach called Caimeo. We spend the whole afternoon laughing and chatting!
Heading back to Díli, we enjoyed the way and stopped a couple of times to take some photos of the landscape, as the golden hour was already approaching.
We arrived in Díli still on time to witness another wonderful sunset, with a low tide, watching the kids playing by the sea in a Vietnamese local restaurant/lounge when we had a wonderful vegetarian dinner!
It was a beautiful and sublime girl's Sunday!
Thanks for passing by, my friends!
Be blessed and have a wonderful week ahead!
Thanks, @ace108 and @c0ff33a :)
Have a great Sunday, my friends!
Yours,
Isabel
