Another #beautiful Sunday. This one was spent on the beach. We were greeted very early in the morning by an already hot and throbbing sun. Our plans were confirmed by the cool breeze left over from the previous day’s gale winds. We were actually expecting cooler weather, so the bright day came as a bit of a surprise, but we weren’t complaining.
We filled up on a good hearty breakfast and backed our beach bag; bucket and spade included. This time we decided to take our puppy Charlie with on the adventure. By the time we arrived at the beach at 8:30am, it was already packed with sunbathers, swimmers and surfers. We chose a dog friendly beach to plonk our own bums on.
Since the water has already started to cool down as autumn sets in, we mostly fooled around in the sand, not feeling up to the call of the chilling waves. We frolicked on the shoreline instead and dug holes together in the sand. Charlie, our pup, wondered from family to family, enjoying the attention his long ears got him.
The day ended off with some cooldrink and hot chips (our all-time beach favourite). We did however start the walk back to the car on a “not so good note”, our toddler decided to complain about whatever he could find to complain about and our puppy lost his willingness to walk, but we got to our destination eventually and headed home sun-kissed and exhausted!
