It is known in our country that some of the people refrain from taking a bath during a of part of the Lenten season. This is a sign of abstinence which is practiced by some of the devotees. Today is Easter Sunday and people head out to the beaches and resorts in celebration of Easter. Come and join me today as I take you to one of our local beaches where the masses flock to celebrate Easter.

The moment you leave the city you would already see people camping out on the beaches. People hang out at the breakwater setting up make shift tents. In the past few days I have seen people already settled getting ready for this day. This beach is a public area and is not maintained but there is no stopping the residents from enjoying the ocean. Climbing up the large rocks which are used for breakwater. Some even swam to the other side of the breakwater.

Long Beach

This beach was just previously cleaned up and is planned to be turned into a resort. The entrance is free for the time being and if they could maintain the cleanliness of the place, it would be a popular local resort in our area. There are plans of setting up an infinity pool, lodging area, maybe a hotel, a bar and other ammenities.

As expected the beach is crowded with people. If you are planning to go swimming it is advisable to come early if you want to rent a cottage. Cottage rental is 500 pesos or around $10.

All the best spots have been occupied and it would be hard to get a spot under the shade.

With your drinking buddies the best spot is near a fishing boat. Bring out the roasted fish, the booze and endless stories. A formula for hours of pleasant bonding with friends.

These kids enjoyed a nice game of volleyball. A game that I could not learn as I find it very hard to hit the ball in the right direction.

After playing in the sun there are vendors who sells buko salad ice candy made from coconut. This is a perfect local treat to keep you cooled down on a hot day. We decided to treat ourselves as well. One ice candy cost 10 pesos which is $0.20 a cheap way to cool down.

What is a beach outing without food? Families brings their lunch with them in a cook out. Grilled food is the favorite for beach goers in our country.

We really had fun capturing life on Easter Sunday on the beach. Sharing with you how people have fun in our area. I did not take the kids with me today as we prefer a less crowded time. Summer is here and we will surely head out to have fun in the sun soon.

Thanks for joining me in this #beautifulsunday and Happy Easter Steemians.
