My Share for #BeautifulSunday initiated by @ace108
Take a walk with me this Sunday afternoon on a trade fair that comes to our city once every year. This fair takes advantage our yearly fiesta which is held every second Sunday of November. A lot of people visit the city during fiesta and after eating they head out to this fair. The fair comes around mid October and has already been a part of the culture in our city.
Merchants comes from different places in the country. From clothes, shoes, toys, kitchen ware you name it they have it.
Place is not yet crowded at this time in the afternoon. Last time we went here was in the evening and it gets really crowded in this tight space. Had trouble taking good shots so just had to abandon the plan. This time in the afternoon it was perfect and had plenty of space to move around.
Watches they had a lot of watches being sold here. From the entrance itself watch vendors can already be seen. You could get a bargain here to give away as cheap Christmas presents.
Lots of trinkets , bracelets and key chains which you could have your name engraved. I'm just not sure why eiffel tower is there.
Toys, Toys Toys ! If I were a kid I would be thrilled but right now to be honest a bit thrilled. Last time I bought a pellet gun here as props to my Halloween costume. Lots of plastic toys some are battery operated which can be bought at a very cheap price.
If ever you are in need of belt they have it. Colorful, plastic, synthetic and leather belts lots of options.
All Saint's Day is also fast approaching on November 1 when people head out to the cemetery and light up a candle for their loved ones. We in fact buy the regular candles during that holiday but if you are looking for a battery operated candle. Pick one up here for around $3 and if it ever burns out just replace the battery.
Curtains, towels, bed sheets is also a bargain here. My wife bought curtains which cost her around $5 for a good one, you could have if modified according to your specifications.
Kitchenware of all sorts , knives , tools and also saw a katana type of sword. Just don't go waving the sword around like crazy.
Different sorts of bracelets and rings can also be found here which is not the real deal as we know. But looks authentic to the untrained eye.
More toys for sale for the kiddoes. If not for the coca cola bottle there and that fly on the head of Pikachu this could have been an awesome shot.
Now if you're hungry they have food stalls at the end of the fair. They have Shawarma, burgers, fries, hotdogs and even popcorn cheese flavored popcorn.
We got a bit thirsty from walking around and bought a choco chip frappe. It was no StarBucks but it was worth it for the price.
Look at that roasted corn makes me crave for some ribs, steak and chicken and probably some shrimp. Too bad they don't have it maybe I should get a stall of my own.
People here are very religious due to the Spanish influence from the colonial days. They have their patron saints on display on the stalls I told the guy it was beautiful. He said it was there to bless them and keep them safe. As the upcoming fiesta is in celebration of a Saint it seems the fair has with them their own personal celebration.
I hope you like this walk with me on this Trade Fair. Thank your for visiting Steemians.
