Welcome as I take you to an amusement park that has been open since 1991 and is operating the whole year round. A place of thrills, fun and excitement for all ages. This is a place of childhood memories and now a place for new memories of the next generation to be created. Rides, games , fun, adventure and food are waiting to be discovered in the this place. Welcome to..............................
Star City
Opened in 1991 this air conditioned amusement park has more than 30 rides and special attractions. Rain or shine it is said to be the single all weather amusement park in the country.
On display is a miniature of the park where you could see the various locations of some of the rides.
It is a weekend so we expected that there would be a lot of people especially at night. As families would like to make the most of the weekend having fun.
Here are the fees:
Entrance Fee $2
Ride all you can $10
3 cheers $9
Snow World $3.50
Art Alive $2.50
Lazer Blaster $2.00
Ride All You Can additional Combo
Snow World $2.50
Art Alive $1.20
Lazer Blaster $1.20
Unlimited Mini Golf $.60
I'm not sure who would pay for 3 Cheers or 3 rides when you would just add a little bit and you can Ride All You Can. I don't get it.
After payment you would proceed to the park you see a map where all the rides and attractions are located.
The two deck grand carousel would be the first ride you will see. I am always fascinated with carousels when it comes to parks. To me it is somehow a work of art and emanates the character of childhood.
The Wacky Worm
A caterpillar ride that is like a roller coaster that is also compare to the speed of a roller coaster. A fun ride that everyone could enjoy if you are not fond of the larger roller coaster.
The Telecombat
Take a ride thru space on a space ship that goes round and round with drops and climbs.
Dr. Fish
If your feet are killing you with all that walking around. Why not try this fish foot spa where tiny wish would swarm and eat the dead skin cells on your feet. Never tried this before maybe next time.
There are a lot of attractions within the park including this pirate ship. There is also a long line in this amusement ride where you would ride a small boat that would take you to a lights and sound show inside. There are also a bit of animatronics along the way but do not expect too much.
When you get hungry this near the pirate ship is the food court. All sorts from pizza, burgers, Japanese and local food are available.
We decided to go for this one who serves Boodle Fight.
The prices are
Package A $8 good for 3-4 persons
Package B $10 good for 4-6 persons
Package A $12 good for 6-8 persons
We chose the Package B which I guess was good for only 4 persons. Maybe we were just hungry at that time.
Boodle Fight
What is a Boodle Fight? It originated from the military in our country where all sorts of food are mixed together on a banana leaf and everyone just digs in with their hands.
Our meals included
Barbecue
Fried Chicken
Fried Fish
Grilled pork belly
Tomatoes and onions with shrimp paste
Salted duck eggs
Rice topped with fried eggplant
We were supplied with plastic gloves so it would be easier to dig in with our hands.
If you are not looking for a heavy meal. Outside that are also a lot of other options for a quick snack.
This is a ride that everybody loves The Bump Car. The line was extremely long and very slow as there were only around 9 cars operating. There were other cars but were out of order at that time. It is a fun ride if you want another go. You would need to go thru that long line again.
There are also virtual reality rides which looks fun but not a lot takes a ride as this is not included on the Ride All You Can ticket.
Another bumper ride this time motorized boats. Again the line is long seems like a lot of people loves bumping into each other.
Now if games and winning prizes are your thing. This is the place you need to be. Games like ring toss, fishing, toss the ball in the bucket and those crane vending machines where you try to grab the toys. Try your luck and win a prize.
Outside more games await like this one where you try to cross a rope bridge and you just need to ring the bell at the end. Looks easy think again.
They also have different sorts of shooting range if shooting is a thing for you. Win that giant pink bear.
Shoot that ball and win a crocodile!
The Giant Star Wheel
An air conditioned Ferris wheel 60 meters tall and you can see a view of the Manila Bay. Perfect if you are on a date this would be the perfect place to tell her what you need to say.
This long line goes up to the back for this roller coaster ride.
Looks like this is a new ride for the the kids. Ride a robot this is something I would like to try if I just had a kid with me. Where is @bearkid when I need her?
The Jungle Splash
Ride a log on a stream which would give you a big drop from the top. Tried this ride a couple for times and the big drop is intense.
Surf Dance
Feels like riding the waves that twist and turns like being thrown around by the ocean.
The Music Express
A ride that goes around forward and backward and this ride is fast.
Another Carousel is outside which gives out a carnival feel in this area and I love the soft tone of the lights on this ride.
The Star Frisbee
As you are swung back and forth. The seats also goes spinning around and there is nothing you can do. If you cannot handle heights this ride is not for you.
A place for the family to enjoy and if you could compare the prices the prices here are cheap.
Well I guess this ends our trip. Hope you enjoyed the rides.
See you again Steemians!
