This is his 4th overview (Part I). Enjoy and join them if you like)))
This is the fourth craft beer bar tour in Moscow. If you have a beer related blog or website and find these stories useful, feel free to post them wherever you want!!
Metro station Chistye Prudy.
Last Thursday was a memorable Craft Beer Bar Tour. Starting from metro station Chistye Prudy we walked along Chistoprudy Blvd and its beautiful park with pond. In winter time you can go ice skating on the pond. This is a real nice area of Moscow with many beautiful old buildings, interesting shops and the park. We were heading for the bar Beer Mood on Chistoprudy Blvd 21.
Bar BeerMood
I can easily say that Beer Mood is a must visit place. Excellent beer selection which changes often, good prices, expert staff and great interior. One of the owners, Artem, really know his beers. Not only that, he also can recommend other craft beer bars for the real craft beer lover. They also have a very nice Italian kitchen which is run by Sicilians. Try their prosciutto pizza and add sundried tomatoes. Pair this with one of Artem’s many great beers and I guarantee you will enjoy it. I visited Sicily a few years ago and was not impressed with any of the pizzas I had, I guess the one Sicilian family that knows how to make great pizza moved to Moscow. They have many other dishes too so plenty to choose from. But back to beer….the prices in this place are good and the atmosphere is excellent. Did I mention you need to visit this place?
The very inconspicuous entrance to bars Chili and Pine and Linden (Sosna I Lipa)
Chili Bar and Pine and Linden Bar (Sosna I Lipa)
Artem gave us directions to a couple of new places close by. Just up the street, but ask Artem for directions as there are no signs outside, are two new places that look like some student cafes. One is called Chili Bar and is right next to Pine and Linden on the same floor in the same building. Luckily this side of the building has been restored because the rest of the building looks so dilapidated you’re afraid to talk too loud as it could send the building crushing down. Chili Bar has a very interesting interior, that alone is already worth a visit. Their beer selection was not very big but ok. They serve food, hence the name Chili, and the prices are very reasonable. Next to it is Pine and Linden and it is quite similar. Check them out and enter the one that just appeals to you most for whatever reason at that moment.
