Eagles of Death Metal, Jesse Hughes - Portrait Contest Week 25

Music Festivals have always been a big deal to me, just being able to see a whole bunch of artists that you love, back to back all day for several days. There's nothing quite like it.

I went to the last Riot Fest Toronto with a media pass. The first day kept raining on and off, which was a huge drag. My phone actually got water damaged in my pocket that day. A couple sets got canceled, though it still was memorable for many reasons. Eagles of Death Metal played a shorter set, because of the weather. After it finished I headed back to the media tent where I ran into none other than a cool, calm, and very social Jesse Hughes (Frontman of EODM). He was just hanging out with people, posing for selfies with fans in the media, and more or less just hanging out. I asked him if he'd pose for a couple portraits, which he was happy to do.

That day I also got to see and shoot the first 3 songs of Motorhead's last Toronto show. Lemmy died just 3 months after. I will do a proper post on all the best shots from this festival later on.

This image is my submission for the @jasonrussell Week 25 Black and White Portrait Contest.

PS I had to ask for a quick selfie with Jesse, it was too cool getting to meet him. Such a warm personality to be around.
